Dr Anup Prakash Upadhyay holds PhD from G.B.P.U.A.&T., Pantnagar in Agril. Extension & Communication. He is ARS 2007 and UGC 2007 NET qualified. He had served Kumaon University, Uttarakhand and Govind Ballabh Pant University of Ag. & Technology, Pantnagar, Uttarakhand, in the capacity of a lecturer from 2010 to 2012. After that he served as Subject Matter Specialist for Agriculture Extension at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (ICAR), Sitapur, Uttar Pradesh and as Assistant Professor of Extension and Communication Management at Central Agriculture University, Imphal, Manipur during 2012 to 2014.
At present working with Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) as Faculty in the area of Communication and Extension Management. He is Chairperson IBRC and Area Chairperson. He is holding additional charge of Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) of IIFM. He is author of three books on the subject of “training need assessment” and Climate Change: Combating through Science and Technology”. He had more than 25 research papers, 12 book chapters and 20 articles/short communications under his name. His area of specialization is Development Communication, Speech Communication, Training needs assessment, Transfer of Technology for Livelihood promotion, ICT for Climate change adaptation, Diffusion and Adoption of innovations.
Dr Upadhyay has more than 9 years of Teaching, Training, Research, Administration, Consulting and Extension experience. Besides, he had handled various research and consultancy assignments of Forest Departments, DST, DBT, Media Lab Asia etc. He has guided four M.Phil. research scholars and co-guide of two PhD scholars and Supervisor of one PhD student. He is regularly involved in organizing MDPs, Seminars and workshops on Communication both verbal as well as nonverbal at IIFM as well as outside IIFM in various institutes/ Universities.
