Indian Institute of Forest Management (IIFM) is a leading National Level Autonomous Institute of the Ministry of Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Government of India.  Since 1982, IIFM has provided a platform for sharing and generating multidimensional knowledge to understand and address various complex issues related to sustainable management of natural resources critical to maintain ecological equilibrium and balance environment and development imperatives.

IIFM is amongst the few Indian institutions with a world class programme on Sustainability Management.  Through a unique blend of interactive classroom sessions, field work, case studies and Summer Internships, the curriculum of the Post Graduate Programme in Sustainability Management (PGDSM) helps create professionals well equipped to find innovative solutions to address global concerns on ecology, environment and sustainable development.

PGDSM is taught by a diverse faculty comprising academicians, foresters, scientists and industry experts from all aspects of the multi-disciplinary field of sustainability management.  Eminent guest faculty from across the globe also join in sharing best practices on topics like sustainable development, green circular economy, renewable energy, carbon finance and trading, landscape restoration, water conservation and recycling.

In the context of the current need for nature based solutions to address corporate sustainability, corporate environment management, environmental audits, energy conservation, corporate social responsibility, climate change impacts and also to achieve various national and international commitments, the country needs trained human resources with special management and leaderships skills.  IIFM’s PGDSM programme addresses the society’s need for such leaders and entrepreneurs to work on sustainability.  We look forward to for create new opportunities for you in these exciting and emerging fields.
