PARUL RISHI, PhD,  is Chairperson, Faculty of Human Resource Management, Indian Institute of Forest Management, (IIFM) Bhopal. She is the Chairperson of, Centre for Corporate Social Responsibility and Publication cell of the institute. She has received 22 national and international awards, fellowships and medals for academic excellence in different pursuits. Supervision of  12 PhDs/FPM scholars including a post-doctoral supervision with Aix Marseilles University, France also depicts the research acumen of Dr Parul.  She is the editor-in-chief of the Journal of Organizations and Human Behaviour and Associate Editor of Frontiers’ in Organizational Psychology, Switzerland. She has served as reviewer for the journal, Ocean and Coastal Management, Resources Conservation and Recycling, Forests, Trees & Livelihood, Society & Natural Resources, Applied Social Science and many others.  She has also authored a book ‘Managing Climate Change & Sustainability through Behavioural Transformation’(2022) published by Palgrave Macmillan & Springer Nature, https://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-981-16-8519-4.Besides, she has written over 100 papers/book chapters/articles  in various international and national journals/magazines.

Dr Parul had her education (Masters and PhD- Psychology) from the Dayalbagh Educational Institute, Agra, India . She is an Environmental and Conservational Psychologist with a focused area of research in the Psychology of Climate change and Sustainability, human-environment/Forest interface, CSR, Ethics and Organizational Psychology.

For the past 30 years, she has actively contributed to all the verticals- teaching, research, training and consulting. She has over 30  research and consultancy projects, funded by several corporate and public organisations like DST, Sir Ratan Tata Trust,  Eicher group Foundation, Titan, Aditya Birla, NHDC, Eastern Coal fields, Coal India Ltd. Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Directorate of Statistics, Department of Science & Technology, state forest departments of MP, Gujarat & Andaman & Nicobar, Ministry of Rural Development, World Bank sponsored India Eco-Development Project, JICA, Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education, etc. She has also worked on an international research project’ Measuring Climate Change Perceptions in India & France’ sponsored by OT-Med Laboratory of Aix Marseilles University France.

She has conducted more than 70 trainings for international, national and state organisations including Mid-Career Training of senior IFS officers, scientists, faculty and corporate professionals and delivered more than 100 keynote addresses/lectures/addresses in various academic forums. She has been the resource person for Behavioural and Managerial training of Senior Judiciary (High Court/district court Judges, directors of State Judicial Academies, CBI, Department of Personnel) of India, Senior Judiciary of Sri Lanka and Bhutan through the National Judicial Academy of Bhopal, Indian, Revenue Service Officers through Academy of Administration, UCO Bank, New India Assurance Company, Power Grids Corporation of India and many others.

Some of the noteworthy international training programmes include ‘Psycho-spiritual dimensions of Sustainability with a focus on Climate Change’ at the University of Toronto, Canada, Behavioural Adaptation with Climate Change through Psycho-spirituality & Mindfulness-A Journey through Indian Spiritual World in International Congress of Applied Psychology at Montreal, Canada, Soft Skills for Professional Effectiveness and Business Ethics & CSR in University of Zululand, South Africa, ‘Stress management’ University of Durban, South Africa, Environmental Stress management in Smithsonian Environmental Leadership course, Puerto Rico, USA. Besides, she has presented more than 60 papers at national and international conferences in countries like the USA, China, France, Canada, Switzerland, Norway, Germany, Australia, South Africa and many others.
